Lauren Stock completed her Master’s Degree at the Isenberg School of Management. She graduated with top honors (4.0 GPA) and is utilizing her degree in Business & Analytics at a Fortune Global 500 company, where she was accepted into the Graduate Development Program.
Ms. Stock was a Project Assistant and Teaching Assistant for the Arts Management and Film Studies Departments (UMass). She worked as a Marketing Assistant for the UMass Fine Arts Center and was also a House Manager for the facility.
Lauren was the marketing intern for Tighe & Bond, a green engineering firm in Westfield, Massachusetts. She assisted with proposal writing and proofing, participated in meetings and provided feedback about marketing initiatives, and updated the customer relationship database. Lauren also acted as the marketing intern for Global Treks & Adventures for an Iceland travelogue, and spent time hiking the countryside as well as learning about Icelandic culture. She was responsible for still photography to be used in marketing efforts, utilizing both a 4k and cell phone camera, and provided advertising copy to accompany the photos.
In her Junior year, Ms. Stock was selected for a publishing intern program in London (UK) for Enitharmon Editions, a book publisher and gallery. Beyond working in their store, she helped to promote and manage their signings and art showings, and proofread Pulitzer Prize Winning author writings. Lauren also worked as a film studies intern for the Massachusetts Multicultural Film Festival. Ms. Stock first became interested in motion pictures when her short story, They, was selected by Fabrication Films and adapted into a screenplay. She also worked on costume design/creation and catering on the feature film, Arkon Games.
Lauren began work in marketing when her first novel, Necrobloods, was published. She gave seminars focusing on empowerment through writing to young students and attended signings at libraries and trade shows. She also helped with marketing for The Direct Action Comics Exhibition.
Prior to college, Ms. Stock attended the National Student Leadership Conference summer program at George Washington University. Her volunteer work included mentoring and tutoring students, running National Honor Society events, working at the Granby Public Library, directing H.O.P.E. projects, and assisting a disabled veteran with his business marketing. She was the President of Student Council as well as the Yearbook Editor, participated in Varsity Softball, and was a dance student for 10 years.
Once in college, she volunteered for the Student Alumni Association as well as Habitat for Humanity. Lauren was on the Dean’s List every semester and in the Honors Program. She was a David and Kathleen Scott Scholar, received multiple International Program Awards, the Dean’s List Honors Scholarship, and several others. Ms. Stock has been published in both The Scribe and Jabberwocky literary journals.
